U10 Event in Petawawa on July 26

Softball Ontario U10@Play Event Have You Signed Up Yet? Softball Ontario, Kitchener Waterloo Minor Boys Softball Association and Micksburg Twins Softball Association are hosting two (2) U10@Play events in the summer of 2014. These events will help and encourage children to enjoy the FUNdamentals of softball while providing some key elements of Long Term Player Development. Don’t miss out on:                                                                                 Piloting the new Softball Canada Minor Rules for U10 Trying out the softball FUN ZONE which includes things such as: Mascot Challenge Umpire Idol Team Cheering Challenge Water Balloon Toss Inflatable Softball and more! Testing your softball skills in the Skill Zone and get a softball skills mini clinic: Throwing to a target for accuracy Timing your speed while you run the bases Measuring how far the “ball” is hit Having your say on what softball for U10 in Ontario will look like. Softball Ontario and Softball Canada will be on site collecting feedback                                        Other great opportunities and items you don’t want to miss out on include: Players: more playing time, U10 playing memento, lunch, FUN and much more! Coaches: Coaches Guide, Batting Rosters and a Fielding Roster (1 per game) Parents and Fans: Parent Guide and Player Tracker Card (1 per family) The U10@Play events are open to any level- House League, Select, Rep, or Open; all levels are encouraged to apply.  Participating U10 teams can be made up of girls only, boys only or co-ed (boys and girls) teams. The Micksburg Twins Softball Association will be hosting a U10@Play event on Saturday, July 26, 2014!  The event will feature a Softball Fun Zone, softball games, prizes for all participants and a Softball Skill Zone at the world class park:  Petawawa Civic Centre! This venue has mini golf and a splash pad! Players, Coaches and Fans will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the new minor rules for the U10@Play age group.
