Erie, Pennsylvannia Tournament
Just in case any teams are interested in making the trip down to Erie, PA on the last weekend in May.
From Bill Hillhouse (houseofpitchingyahoo.com )
I'm writing to you guys in hopes you have interest in coming to the Erie PA tournament May 25-27. It will be an ISC and ISC II qualifier, which provides an alternative way for Ontario teams to qualify. (Note: with the new ISC and ISC II qualifying system, teams can get a berth at the Tournament of Champions through designated invitational tourneys, even those not in their area.)
Contact Bill Hillhouse if interested. Top 2 teams pay ($1000 and $500) . Winner of the ISC II berth will get $500 also. Format to be determined.

Blackburn League news for 2007
Looks like the Blackburn league will officially be going with 8 teams this season, with the addition of the Rogues. The Orleans Midgets had made inquiries, but eventually decided to join the Ottawa RA League.
Also sounds like the Blackburn Bombers will not be trying to host a tourney this season. In 2006 they unfortunately had to cancel it, but in past years, it was a well run tourney and was the inaugral ISC II eastern Ontario qualifier in 2005.

RA League a go for 2007, adds Women's Fastball
RA CENTRE MAINTAINS MEN’S FASTBALL & INTRODUCES WOMEN’S FASTBALL LEAGUE
February 9, 2007
Ottawa, Ontario
Ottawa Valley Raiders Owner Shawn Moher and General Manger Roy Black are pleased to announce that the RA Centre will once again offer men’s fastball in 2007. This “open” league is now called the “RA Men's Fastball League,” abandoning the former “Grey Division” moniker.
At Wednesday night’s coaches meeting, RA Centre officials confirmed that a men’s fastball league will proceed with at least four teams: CBU Publishing, Orleans Midget Rebels, Ottawa Valley Raiders, and Team Six. Matt Greer and the Shawville Snappers are also thought to be interested in joining the League. However, they were not in attendance on Wednesday night.
The four team league will play 12 regular season games on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The playoffs will consist of two rounds of best-of-five games. Gold, silver and bronze awards will be presented to the first, second and third-place teams, respectively.
There will also be a Women's Fastball League at the RA this year. The six team league will play most games at the RA Centre, and some games at other sites to promote their comeback.
