OASA Masters Provincials on July 8 - 10

The Ontario Amateur Softball Association,  is pleased to announce that the 2016 Masters tournament will be held July 8, 9, and 10th in St. Clements. Sam Forbes and the Waterloo Legends, and Twin City Minor Ball will once host the event at this terrific complex, that was raved about by the 14 teams that entered last season.

"With so many major fastball events in Southern Ontario this coming July this was the best weekend to hold the event," stated Tournament Director Mike Goodridge. "We tried not to conflict with other major tournaments and allow the loyal Masters players an opportunity to compete in our event."

Once again, there will three divisions. We will have the Legends 50+ and the Masters 40+, A and B divisions with a slightly different twist. Teams will declare which division they wish to compete in and we will schedule, so hopefully we will have closer games.

With early interest from Ottawa, Kingston, and Sudbury we hope to attract teams from right across the Province and we certainly thank the teams that participated last year and hope to see them return this coming July.  For further information please contact Tournament Director Mike Goodridge 15 Gamble Lane Port Dover ON. N0A 1N3. Phone 289 389 9158.

Caveman thinking about next season

Today, we were driving home from a trip to the dentist and Caveman spotted a kid we will call "Petey" running wild on the streets of Fitzroy. Last year Petey played softball on Fitzroy Mites 2 and Caveman played on Fitzroy Mites 1.

Caveman: "Ugh, Petey. I don't like that kid."

Me: "Oh yeah."

Caveman: "Yeah, he's not very nice. Can I hit him with a pitch next season?"
