Canada in Gold Medal Game at WBSC World Cup - Update: they won silver

Team Canada will play Australia for the gold medal at the World Baseball Softball Confederation Men's World Cup in New Zealand tonight at 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Both the Canadians and the Aussie Steelers have only lost one game all tournament. Canada lost to Argentina, which is playing the bronze medal game versus the United States. The Aussies have lost to Canada.

Canada defeated Cuba last night 2-0, with Sean Cleary perfect through 26 batters before giving up a walk and a hit. Australia upset Argentina 2-0 last night to earn a spot in the gold medal game.

Both bronze medal game (7 p.m. start EST) and the gold medal game will be streamed (subscription fee required) at the GameTime website.
