Fastball alumni night in Carp on April 29

Alumni night coming soon on Friday April 29 at Carp Ag Hall! Should it be great night.

Who:  2022 U23 Canadian Men's Fast Pitch Championship Committee

What:  An Alumni Night.  A chance for anyone who has ever played, coached, managed, trained or umpired fastball in Eastern Ontario to get together for a fun night of camaraderie.

Where:  Carp Agricultural Society Hall, Carp Fairgrounds on Carp Road (not at the Arena).

When:  Friday, April 29th. Doors open at 7:30pm

Why:  A chance to meet up with fast pitch friends from years past, exchange stories (and lies!) and opportunity to purchase a one week pass for the deep discounted price of $25 (regular week pass will be $50).

This is a FREE event.  No ticket required.

Adult beverages will be available for purchase.

Umpire clinic in Ottawa

The Eastern Ontario Umpire Association is always looking for umpires.  As well, leagues without umpires may be looking to train their own umpires.  The Eastern Ontario Umpire Association is hosting a Softball Canada Level I Clinic on Saturday, May 7 at the Granite Curling Club, 2026 Scott Street, Ottawa starting at 08:30 a.m..  The cost is $100 and the session will last till about 4:00 p.m..  All are welcome.  We will provide you with the fundamentals that you need to start your umpire career.  If you are interested or have any questions, please contact David Herbst at eoua.president@gmail.com, 613-791-6767.

Shawville League registration is open

The Shawville Men's Fastball League registration is now open for the 2022 season. This four team men's league in west Quebec will play on Monday nights this year. It's a great night of ball, with a good mix of GOFL players and local guys. Cost to play is $150.

Kingston Axemen announce roster for 2022

The Kingston Axemen have announced their roster for the 2022 season. The roster includes five players from the Kars Aces in the Greater Ottawa Fastball League. 

The Axemen plan to play at the ISC Worlds in Moline, IL in August.

Blackburn team seeks catcher

The Blackburn Men's Fastball League has a team looking for a fulltime catcher for the 2022 season. 

The BMFL is a rec fastball league that plays Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays in Blackburn Hamlet.
