Blackburn league starts registration

Blackburn Men's Fastball League in-person registration date is set for March 30th, 2020. It will be at the Blackburn Arms from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The fee structure will be $230 for payments (paid in full) until March 30th. All payments on March 30 or later will be $250.

Payments can be made by cash or cheque (payable to BMFL) at our in person registration dates. We also accept etransfer payments to our League Treasurer Mike Brownhill (mikebrownhill[at]gmail.com).

Please make the password BMFL2020 and include the players name in comments. The schedule will also be released closer to the start of the season. We anticipate starting the regular season in May and be playing one or two games per week on Sunday, Tuesday or Thursday evenings. All games held at the Blackburn Arena Diamond. We are always looking for new players for our League. If anyone has someone in mind please pass this on to them. U23 Canadians in Carp seek volunteers

The U23 Canadian Fastpitch Softball Championship tournament in Carp is looking for several people who are comfortable working with a microphone and speaking over a PA system.

Duties include reading out player names for the starting lineups, announcing the score at each half inning, announcing player substitutions, and thanking sponsors over the PA.

Familiarity with the rules of softball or baseball would be helpful, but isn't required.

Napanee hosting boys fastpitch tournaments this June

Softball Napanee will be hosting numerous boys tournaments in 2020.

• U16 Boys tournament takes place on June 6 and 7.
• U14 Boys tournament takes place on June 13 and 14.
• U12 Boys tournament take place on June 20 and 21. 
• U10  Boys tournament take place on June 20 and 21. 

Cost for each event is $350 per team.

ISC Canada East event in Innerkip June 19-21

A message from the International Softball Congress

ISC Canada East is pleased to announce that we are now accepting entries for our 2020 Qualifier, U23 Championship and Legends Championship.

This year's tournaments will be held at Innerkip Sports Park June 19-21.

Entry fee is $495 for each event. All entries are due by May 17. Entry fees will be accepted via safe, secure Interac E-transfer sent to blairjs@gmail.com. 

The qualifier will be double knockout and will be capped at 16 teams. There are six berths guaranteed for the 2020 ISC World Tournament in Moline, IL. The winner will receive a paid entry fee plus travel money.

We can take up to six entries in each of the U23 and Legends divisions. Formate will be pool play & single elimination bracket. Winners will receive the equivalent of a paid entry fee plus travel money.

We look forward to the 2020 Fastball Season and can't wait for spring!
