U20 Elims this weekend

The Ontario Amateur Softball Association Men's U20 Elimination tournament will be held this weekend in Drumbo.

There are seven teams participating, including West Carleton Electric, looking for a spot at the Softball Canada Canadian Championship in Carp, August 4 to 9.

WC has a bye to the Canadians, but will still be looking to finish at the top of the event to get top Ontario seed.

The Electric have eight players who are on four different Greater Ottawa Fastball teams. Three play for West Carleton Electric Men's (Bryce Rebertz, Colton Lecuyer, Finn Barton), two for Micksburg Twins (Dawson Pennock and Jason McIntyre), two for Manotick Brewers (Jackson and Carter Marshall) and one for Pontiac Flyers (Ethan Howard). Other members include Kaden Fowler who plays for Kingston Axemen, Jack Barton, Carter Wright and Thomas McLean.

Twins and Flyers tie at 4

The Thursday night Greater Ottawa Fastball League game in Micksburg saw the home town Twins tie the Pontiac Flyers 

John Enright and Noah Fleurie threw for the Twins. Drew Hathway had the ball for the Flyers. Joran Graham had a homer for Micksburg.
