Kuehl heads off to New Zealand
Cade Kuehl, of Shawville, a member of the Greater Ottawa Fastball League's Pontiac Flyers, has joined Colton Lecuyer in GOFL players going to New Zealand for their softball season during the North American fall / winter.
Cade, aged 19, will be playing for a different team than Colton, suiting up for the Birkdale Falcons. He is joining fellow Team Quebec U20 teammate Jeremy Breton who played for the Falcons in last year's season.
In addition to the Flyers and Team Quebec, in 2026 Cade also played for the Kingston Axemen ISC team this summer, captained the Athletics in the Shawville Men's Fastpitch League and also suited up for the Tri-City Logsplitters tournament team based out of Fitzroy Harbour.
The New Zealand trip is a tremendous opportunity for Cade to improve his softball skills and embark on an overseas adventure.
