Fitzroy Harbour will be the site for an international softball match up on Canada Day.
Team Czechia U16 is touring Quebec and Ontario this summer. One of their stops will be in Fitzroy on July 1 to play a doubleheader against West Carleton Electric U20, with games at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
There will be refreshments available for thirsty spectators in attendance.

Wednesday night in Greater Ottawa Fastball League play will be a single game in Manotick this week. Micksburg Twins will play the Manotick Brewers at 7:30 p.m.
The Twins - Los Caballos game will be postponed until another night.

The Fitzroy Harbour Men's Fastball League started off with five close games on Friday night.
Bren Electric and Baird Carpentry tied 11-11.
Hicks Custom Interiors got by Grandor Farms 5-2.
Campbell Fuels Logsplitters squeaked by Amherstview Athletics 3-2 on a bottom of the seventh walk off.
Ottawa Valley Coffee defeated The Wizards by a run.
The last game of the night saw Los Caballos walk off the game versus Clean Cut Construction in the bottom of the seventh for a 5-4 victory.

The Micksburg Twins beat the Manotick Brewers 3-1 in Greater Ottawa Fastball League play in Micksburg on Friday night.
Joran Graham had the pitching win for the Twins. Luc D'Entremont threw for the Brewers.
The game was tied 0-0 after four until Manotick got a run in the fifth.
Micksburg responded with two as John Enright reached on a bunt single and Noah Fleurie hit a two run shot in a pinch hit appearance.
The Twins added a run in the sixth after Andy McIntyre singled and scored on a Matt McIntyre doubled.

The Carp Fastball Committee in conjunction with Softball Canada is pleased to announce another exciting event at the Carp Fairgrounds softball diamonds.
On Saturday June 21 at 4:30 p.m., the Canadian Women's National Team will be play an intrasquad "Red vs White" softball game in Carp. Admission is free. Food and drinks will be available to purchase.
The athletes will be available post-game for a meet and greet and to sign autographs for interested fans.

In week three of the Micksburg Men's Fastball League:
Early game - Gold Gloves defeated the Seniors 6-5. Joran Graham had the pitching win while John Enright took the loss.
Late game - The Northstars defeated the Brewers 7-4. Drew Hathway had the win while Ryland Hill came in and got a hold in relief. Brendan Hennessy took the loss. Jason McIntyre continued with his hot bat after a good showing at the Glen tournament and hit another homer.

Manotick Brewers won 4-0 over Los Caballos in the early game in Manotick in Greater Ottawa Fastball League play on Wednesday night.
Luc D'Entremont earned the pitching win for the Brewers, striking out 11, walking one and allowing one hit. Will Lowe took the loss for Los Caballos.
At the plate for the Brewers, James Martel was 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored, Tyler Branchaud was 2 for 3 with a run scored and Jack Becker was 1 for 3 with an RBI and run scored.

The 2025 International Softball Congress Canada East Qualifier June 13-15 in Mitchell, Ontario schedule has been released. There are three divisions - two men's and a Legends (50+) group.
The Kingston Axemen are entered in the "Red" division. A new Legends teams from Orleans, with several former Blackburn Men's Fastball League players, has entered as well.

Manotick Brewers defeated Los Caballos 4-0 in Greater Ottawa Fastball League play on Wednesday in Manotick
Luc D'Entremont started for Manotick and threw four innings (3H, 5K). Carley Shane pitched in relief for three innings (2H, 4K).
Will Lowe took the loss, allowing five hits and striking out nine over six innings.
Jack Becker was 2 for 3 with an RBI for the Brewers, and Ty Alexander (RBI), Cole Hodges, and James Martell also had hits for Manotick.
Wilmer Lovera, Johan Torres, Pedro Lopez and Luis Anguas had hits for Los Caballos.

This is a message that went out parents of minor softball players in North Augusta
We want to inform you of a situation currently unfolding regarding the main North Augusta ball diamond. In March, a light pole failed, prompting an inspection of the others. As of 5:30 PM Friday, the Township deemed some standards unsafe and ordered the immediate removal of all, impacting all minor ball games held under the lights.
For reference, below are the approximate numbers of ballplayers expected to play out of North Augusta this summer:
· North Augusta Home Teams – 27
· Total Teams - 70
· Total Leagues – 6
· North Augusta Minor Ball Players – 107
· Approximate # of ball players that will play out of NA this summer - 840
